Family in Busan

So the family was nice enough to come visit me again and this time my Aunt Anne and Uncle Mike joined them.  Mom and dad wanted to see some place different so by some miracle we made it to Busan.  So after telling mom and dad we should go to Busan I didn't realize how difficult it actually was to get train tickets down there for the Chuseok holiday.  Luckily my awesome friend Rachel managed to get us tickets so we got to go.  Dad and mom also got us a VERY nice hotel right on the ocean.  We stayed at the Paradise hotel on the 9th floor with ocean view.  Was sooooo nice and the rooms were awesome!!!!

First, I had to work the first day they were all here so om and dad got to come visit school and then the walked around Guri to see everything.

Here is mom relaxing a bit in their room in the love motel they stayed at.  We have no real hotels in Guri so I had them stay in a love motel.  It was actually a pretty nice place but not all people were happy.

They manged to find the Lotte Department store for some lunch!

After walking around all day they really needed to rest so mom, Aunt Anne and Uncle Mike tried to lay out on my single bed.  They seemed to do pretty well.

Their first day in Korea was moms birthday so we went to dinner and Rachel brought mom a birthday cake to celebrate!

Now on our way to catch the KTX to Busan for the weekend!

The view from my room with Aunt Anne

In the hotel they had hot baths which we were amazed when we had to pay additional money to go there.  We did one day and it was very worth it and so relaxing.  They had one pool where it was like an infinity pool right into the ocean.

View from my room!

I have been to Busan 3 times before but never made it to the Busan Aquarium.  So we went this time and it was a pretty nice place.

Some crazy, cool looking shrimp I have never seen before.

Crazy, big fish!

Jelly fish always make interesting pictures!

So they did a nice little show where this girl outside the tank interacted with the diver and they did some cute magic tricks.  All in Korean of course but still interesting.

The most interesting new animal I have never seen before this day.  This is a finless porpoise and was so cool.  This animal could bend its neck to look at things and it loved to play with the buoy toys by bringing them to the bottom of the tank and releasing them.  I could have watched these guys all day!!

Another new animal we had never seen before.  Some kind of really colorful fish.

Time for a photo op with the family!!!

This car was a fish tank!

All the siblings at our first dinner.  I took them to a Korean BBQ that is a famous restaurant in Busan.  Was pretty yummy.

Dad and I

We took a walk along the ocean front and onto this point with a light house.  We saw a couple cats who had made a home under this bush!

We went down to a harbor I had found and dad and Uncle Mike loved all the huge boats.

This is a bug we saw that was a cross between a hummingbird and a moth.  We couldn't decide what it was.

Walking along the beach again.  Just thought this was a cool photo op with the guy and his dog!

Finally got a chance to just sit on the beach and enjoy the view.  We got to the beach just as the sun went down but it was still nice to just relax and sit on a beach.  We did find a humongous jelly fish that mom had fun poking and prodding.

View at night!

Our last day we walked the other way down the beach and made it to the place where you can take a ferry ride.  After buying the tickets we walked some more and saw some really cool fishing boats and preparing of fish!

This lady is cutting up some fish!

Hanging to dry!

On the ferry ride!

UNESCO building!

A very cool light house that's on a very small, rock island.

I made my family do this picture for me and it turned out pretty good!!

Great time in Busan with the family and was a nice break away from Guri! Next we went headed back to Seoul and did a bit more touring there!
