Rachel and I had been talking about going to her friend's place in Boryeong for a long time and tried to get Dana and Justine to go with us. they kept canceling and finally we just went. We left Saturday afternoon and drove to her friends restaurant. I even got to drive for a bit on the drive down.
A very cool bridge on our way down!
When we first arrived we went right away to this mountain top and people were doing some para-sailing I would have loved to do it but you have to have reservations and I was not even close to being dressed properly.
Then that night we went to dinner at her friends tuna restaurant. Some of the tuna was really good but some was not so tasty for me. I learned there were different parts of a tuna and I ended up eating the nose of the tuna. It was a pretty good dinner.
The next day we went hiking at some mountain I cannot remember the name of. Quite a direct hike straight up!
Beautiful views!!
I went hiking with Rachel and her two friends: Sarah and Emily (I named Emily).
Beautiful flowers all along the way.
View of Boryeong
The only wildlife I saw!
Learned that this black stone if very famous here and quite expensive.
Beautiful place and was a great hike!
After the hike we went to a Korean sauna and that was a whole experience in itself. Then we met up with a friend of theirs who took us to this beef restaurant for lunch. I actually ate some raw beef which some was really good and others not. We also got to eat some good cooked beef.
Next we went to another friends new coffee shop which is not even open yet. This really cute coffee shop has an amazing view of a lake nearby.
The entrance to the shop!
The view from inside. He made really good drinks and very appealing to the eye!
My green tea latte
And another iced latte drink.
Then we went to a Herb Garden and it was like a really large green house with really pretty flowers and some animals as well.
Huge koi ponds!
If a funny photo op presents itself I have to take it!
A very cute hedge hog as well.
Here is Emily, Sarah and me.
Muchangpo Beach (po is beach). I love the beach and just love walking in the sand.
Sunset at Daecheon Beach.
Awesome weekend and we left this night and got home pretty late but again another great adventure in Korea.
