So my now ex-supervisor has left school and I miss her a lot. But we get together on the weekends and I have actually seen her quite a bit. So this weekend we went on a hike right in Guri and it turned out to be a great workout. I have a fitbit now that measures how many steps, floors, miles and calories I do during the day. This hike was about 7 miles and we went up about 150 floors. On a good day I hit 10 floors. We also had Dana with us, another teacher from school, and I really thought we may have killed her. But this was probably the first beautiful day in awhile and it was a perfect day for hiking. We had some beautiful views form the top and I felt great after we were finished.
Dana needed a walking stick to help her make it up to the top. She is only about 27 years old.
Tombs are all over the mountain as you hike up.
They never like their picture taken. I am not totally sure why!
Helicopter pad in case someone gets hurt up the mountain. So smart!
We hiked down a different spot and came to this really nice park and they had pin wheels all over. It was a very clean and nice place to hang out.
As we were walking back to find a bus to go home this part of town (whatever part it was) had really cute paintings on the walls all over the area.
This was really cool because it is a painting that turns into a real tree.
Like I said I think we killed Dana. We had to get a cab to take us to a bus stop that would take us home.
Great day and GREAT workout and I am looking forward to going again.
