The time came again for the Lunar New Year so we had to have an activity day! The kids are always so cute in their hanbok's. I am sure I have said this before but activity days are super tiring but so much fun!
Emily looking super cute in her hanbok!
Getting ready for the day.
So one traditional thing they do is the kids have learned a certain way to bow and on this holiday when they bow this way we give them a gift. Usually money. So we gave them 1 USD. Something to be different. I was asked to give Princeton their dollars and the kids had to bow and then I told them something positive like "Good Luck in first grade" or "You have been a great student!" The boys went first!!
And my girls!
Amy from pre-school looking so cute!
Leo and Andy looking so happy!! Geeze!
Now time for the activities and I was in charge of making dakji. Folded paper into a square shape and you hit other dakjis trying to flip it over!
My crazy but amazingly awesome class!!
Christina being Christina and trying to get a good picture but this is what we got!!
I have no idea what is going on here but I love our faces and how we are looking at each other. :o)
Time to play!
Harvard time. So this dakji was not to hard to make but the kids could not do it. So here I had Harvard class and we tried to make it but it was not successful. Luckily I had planned ahead for this failure and made some white ones before hand and they got to decorate those with stickers!!
Mike and Joy working hard!
They did try really hard to make them on their own!!
Oh James! So clueless but so cute and fun!
The girls: Belle and Jasmine!
Pretty sure I am shocked here cause I just succeeded at flipping one of the squares over!!
MiT time! Big class and great class!!
Just so dang cute!!!
Working hard trying to make them! Again hard for this class!
Success!!!
Cutest Lehyun!!
Lucy and Leo!! A rare smile from Lucy!
And now Columbia! Chris and Kenneth playing so seriously!
The Columbia girls! I loved these girls!
Another great activity day and it was so fun because Emily got to Korea right after school! Love all these kids so much and they are so dang cute!
