So we had a teachers workshop day and all the staff of the school went on a trip for the day. We had a group of about 15 people and even the owner of the school came. We went on an organized tour of Danyang and saw beautiful places. We went to a site of where a TV show used to be filmed and it was this whole village built and we were able to explore it and it was really cool. We had to take a 3 hour train ride to get to the place.
Here is the train. Very nice, clean trains here!
View from the train on our way.
At the station they had a neat replica of a traditional Korean house.
Our bus.
Very fancy bus inside and they had seats looking at each other. From the left: Tracy, Ruth, Rachel, Swany, and Yury.
Rachel and Swany in front. Qasem, Nic and Philip in back.
Kiera and me!
Our first stop at the TV show filming site. It was a Korean show so I have no idea the name.
This is a torture thing where the bad guy lays down and someone hits them with a bat like stick on thier butt.
Most of the staff. On the right is Mr. Son (the maintenance man), Qasem, me and Kiera. IN the middle back is Ria and Nic in front. Left back to front is Rachel, Swany, Philip, Ruth and Jane.
Cool throne place.
Keira and me!
Some very low places you had to crawl through!
Lunch! My first time eating while sitting on the floor.
Me and Swany on the boat ride!
Ria, Kiera and me.
A beautiful place.
Finally went to sit inside where it was warmer. Here is from left: Tracy, Swany and Yury.
Ria and me.
Turns out the older Koreans love to dance so they did some dancing on the boat on the trip back to the dock. They were fun to watch and I have to say the song they were dancing to was the longest song I have ever heard.
Towards the end of the day. Just a neat river. Everywhere was so pretty.
Our last stop was a market and this place is famous for their garlic. There was a TON of garlic everywhere.
It was a really fun day and I loved seeing such a nice place. It was a long day though. I left my apartment at 7am and then got home at 10pm. I had a little nap on the train ride back.
