Play gym Field Trip!

And for my last field trip we went to this indoor play gym but it was a bit educational as well.  This place was like a life size set of the digestive system!  So they were able to crawl into the mouth and through the throat to the stomach and then walk along the intestines and play with the poop pillows!

As the kids were being good and listening to the leader girl for the directions and what everything was Kelley and I walked around and played with the things causing some rather loud noises!  It was a very cool place and really fun for all of us!

The mouth!!

Throat

Intestines and poop pillows!

Explaining farts!  Cute and so funny!!

One of those cool boards where you can make shapes and put feet or faces in and get a picture.  This is mine and Kelley's face when we were playing around while the kids were behaving and listening!!

Now all about burping!

Getting ready to play and learning about the GI system!

The teeth made noise and you could kind of play music!

The stomach was a very fun ball pit with all sizes of balls!

Playing with the poop!

One group was playing around and the others were making lanterns.  Once done they all switched!

Huh?? What do you want?!?!

Great job boys!  Took some effort but we got it!

So many hands!

James looking cute as always!

All about sneezing!  Put the balls in and then they come right back out!

Time for some cooking!

Love this skinny mirror!!

Andy looking cute!

Sophia and Jasmine!

Amy and Hoon from pre-school!!

Time to leave.  Jessica is always happy but Lucy is not so sure.  I couldn't even get Mike to look!

Great filed trip as a last one for me.  The kids had so much fun as did I!!

My Birthday! 25 ;o)

So another year has passed and another birthday.  I was so lucky to celebrate in Korea with my awesome friends!  I began the day with getting my nails done with Lauren and Justine.  One of their student's moms have a nail shop so we went there.  So after looking around for awhile we found the shop and it was fun.  There student wanted to take our picture with our tongues out but we followed it with a much nicer picture and added Sally.

Cutie Sally

So I had my nails done in a nice purple and then one glittery finger.  Since it was my birthday the lady added this quite large bow to one finger.  She also did all of our nails for free!  It was super ice of her and always a good time.

Next on the to do list was dinner at the Coex mall at some really nice buffet place called Marachet! At dinner I had to put on my glasses and added my necklace and I ended up looking like a real old lady! As I was doing this I couldn't help but laugh and I looked over and saw this guy at another table looking at me and smiling.  He gave me a thumbs up!

Now back to Guri and time for some Sojuritias!

Justine saw my awesome bow and decided she wanted one as well and she picked this very large one but they were pretty looking!

We had a bit of fun with the shaped fries!

My awesome friends: Justine, Bonnie, Georgina, Lauren and Kelley!

No night is complete without Naorebong!

Gotta love it!
\

Great birthday and everyone was so nice and I loved every minute!

Here is a birthday cake I got a few weeks later.  An awesome ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins!  I shared with Justine when I stayed with her for a few days!

Emily's Visit

So I had another great friend come visit me and again I got to show this great place to a newbie to Asia!  So Emily came to visit for 5 days and we fit in quite a bit before she had to go!  Of course we had to hit the pet cafe so we went this first.  We wandered Hongdae and then made our way to the Gyeongbokgung Palace which we got there at 3:50 only to find it closed at 4.  So we decided to head over to Insa-dong and take a quick trip.

So we got to the Pet Cafe a bit early and walked around Hongdae.  Some random pics.

Getting ready for her birthday dinner!

Once we got to the cafe I was so happy to see they had a new dog and it is a Great Dane!!  He was only 5 months old and named Ben!  He wasn't quite used to people yet but I got a hug in!

Emily was given this weird wooden rattle thing and she decided to take pictures of it everywhere!  Including a pups head!

Georgina had this little pup for awhile and then the big fluffy one wanted to say hi but the little guy was not so keen and Georgina was a bit nervous!

Super cool bulldog that I love!

So amazingly cute! Just like a big person!!

One of the coolest dogs taking the check for us!

Now on the way to the Gyeongbokgung Palace and we saw this really cool snowbear!!

A rare picture of the super ugly U.S. Embassy in the background!

Our first attempt at the palace!

Massive door at the palace!

Insa-dong time!

Well these aren't needed so much so make planters!!

Yummy time!

Time for the birthday dinner!

Next day now headed back to the palace and getting the City bus tour!

Finally made it when open and we got lucky and it was free!

One goal before leaving Korea was to see a palace covered in snow!  It was very nice in some places.

Emily looking good!

Beautiful!

Emily's process of trying to get both feet up and she failed but it was fun to watch!

What she ended up doing!

Here weird thing again!

The randomness I love in Korea and at the palace I got to hold a couple really cool birds!

Emily is the year of the pig!

This year was the year of the snake!

So we went on the city bus tour and picked the War Memorial of Korea.  It was set up very nicely and we just walked around a briefly looked at everything and chatted!

Love the characters!

Really cool drum!

Traditional fighting boats called Turtle boats!

As always they have to have really cool places for kids to play located in very random places!  Like the DMZ and now a War memorial museum!

Puppies!

Last stop of the day was the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower on Namsan mountain!

We ate dinner up there at a very romantic place but really good Italian!

Last day of the weekend we had brunch at Butterfingers and then walked around Gangnam some!

Had to try on some of the most ridiculous bows in the subway station!

Mine did look pretty cute and I feel so Korean here!

Then onto the Coex Aquarium!

Super unflattering mirror but funny!

Eating some good dippin dots!

I felt bad because Emily was so sick all week but she was quite a trooper.  We saw a lot and I always love showing Korea and seeing it at the same time!  Well Emily is the last friend to visit and I now have less than 3 weeks left.  So many mixed emotions going on and it is going to be a hard time but I think I know deep down I need to move forward and begin something new!
