Rachel & Dana's Birthday

It was Rachel's birthday and Dana's was the week before so we went to dinner at the best restaurant.  The beef place.  Dana bought a cake so we got to eat it and it was pretty good!  In this first picture Dana will not let you take a picture.

Blow out the candles!

I don't know what Rachel looks so shocked about!

Justine and I were there too!

Children's Museum with School

Another school field trip but this was a pretty cool place.  It was the Samsung Children's Museum.  It was a place where there were things all over for the kids to touch and play with.  Here are some pics of the trip to the museum!

Sally and Elin with Leo

Me and Nicole

We got to the museum at like 10:15 and were told e could not go into the museum until 10:40.  So the kids did pretty well just hanging out.  We did get to go into the gift shop and look around for a bit.  Here I had my homeroom class jump for me.  (Left: Sunny, Luke, Sam, Yejee and Christina)

We began the trip with a video on how all people are different in looks and personalities.  This was on the third floor and it was kind of the tech floor.  The whole thing was in Korean but they has some English subtitles that we could read. This picture is our whole school!

Cute alien thing!

On this floor they had this mirror kaleidoscopic thing and I just liked the colors.

A different station the kids could get their picture taken and then it would occasionally go across the screen.  Here is Luke looking at Sunny's picture.

They had a very small maze so we made a train through the maze!

Luke got his taken at this other station where they would take your picture and then add it to the TV and break it down into smaller and smaller pictures.

Yejee's turn

On the second floor they has really cool things.  It was kind of the water and air floor.  So here in the water room the kids got to play in the water pools, squirt water guns (all contained) and play with water pumps.  It was really cool and totally fun for everyone.

John, Jennifer, Luke and James

Sam, Christina and Sunny

Kenneth and Jenny waiting patiently

Then in the air section or ball room they were able to put balls into this gun and the balls were shot to the other side of the room into a ball wall things.  All over the room there were different places for the kids to put balls and have them fly across the room or go into different areas.

Really thinking hard about what we are supposed to do here with the balls.

Cool fish into the water room!

They had this really cool playhouse which was huge.  The kids could actually move a crane to lift pieces from the ground to the second floor.  Also the walls were all move able pieces the kids could put up and build them.

Here I am on the second floor with Mike, our 3 year old at school.  He is so dang cute and a bit of a pain but he is getting better!

I found this ultrasound machine a bit freaky and weird to have in a kids museum.  You actually moved the tool across the ladies belly and an ultrasound pic came up on the screen!

Cooking and music floor. Ryan being Ryan!!

They has this really cool thing where it was a tree on a screen and as you waved your hand across flowers appeared and blew away.  The first video we were trying to figure the thing out but I like Jennifer dancing.

Here we finally figured it out!

Looking ready to go!

Luke photo bombing like he always does!

I really liked this field trip and the kids had a blast!

Bye Bob Teacher

Unfortunately part of this job is saying goodbye to teachers.  So Bob was the guy to take over for me when I left and it was time for him to leave us.  So I had my home room make some signs saying bye and I took this picture to put on his going away card.  Then we had a school dinner (along with 2 other dinners).  I never like saying goodbye to people that are really nice to work with!  But so be it and school keeps going.

Here they were handing out the mileage day gifts and I just they all looked pretty cute sitting there waiting!

Korean Wedding

So I was invited to the wedding of the son of a guy who works at school.  I was very happy to go because I have been hoping someone I knew was going to have a wedding I could attend.  So it was quite an event and very beautiful.  What they did is they rent out a popular wedding hall place and this place holds back to back weddings.  I arrived with Rachel and Ruth and they decided to eat first.  So you go to this separate area where you get a ticket and sit down where there is food on the table.  It is a small selection but when you finish something you can ask for more.  It was pretty good but not excellent.  Then we ate quickly and the ceremony began.  This was pretty similar to hat we are used to in America but the bride and groom said nothing and some other guy talked.

This is the wedding hall

Great decorations

So glittery

Huge projector so we can all see what is going on.

After the talking is done the new couple look at each set of parents and hug them and I think say something like thank you.

Then all done and a trumpet with confetti is shot off as they leave.

Here is the cute couple and they were very nice looking.  I know the parents and brother of the groom.  After they walked to the end of the runway like they were finished they walked right back to the front for photos!

I know the people on the left side of the picture.  Mr. Son (our everything man at school) and his wife Helen (our cook).

Their extended family!  So big.

They have a separate room where the bride gets pictures taken.  This is not the bride I was there to see but shes pretty like they all were.

And another photo shoot room I think for kids or other bridal party.

It was really fun and very interesting.  It was really cute because they had a friend sing for them and then the groom sang a quick song for the bride.  She got all teary eyed when she was hugging her parents. It was a quick, but exciting experience and I had a lot of fun.
