Pre-School

Friday, January 28, 2011
So we have pre-school with us for a month and most of these kids are around and American age of 3.  And OMG they are cute as can be!  I got to work with them this Friday because the rest of the school went sledding and I offered to stay behind with a Korean teacher to run pre-school.  It was a time I wished there were 2 of me cause I wanted to be in both places.  Pre-school was very crazy but fun.  Here are a few pics from our half day!
Julia is the little, little one standing with pig tails and she is just the cutest thing!!

Lucy who is a very interesting child in a being really difficult way!

We cut out shapes with cookie cutters from bread slices!

This is Lehyun who is the little sister of one of my favorite kinder kids!

Can I eat please??

Playing the Wolf game

Time for a movie and cotton candy!

They are all so interested in Pororo.  This is a very popular cartoon penguin here.

We played freeze dance where the kids would dance to the music and when it stopped they had to freeze.  Pre-school does not quite know what freeze means yet!

Crazy day but really fun to work with the little ones.  They kept trying to talk to me in Korean and I would say "I don't know" in Korean to them and they would laugh.  The kids at school love it when we try to speak Korean.  They laugh all the time!

Hongdae Girls Night

So this weekend I went to Hngdae with Lauren and Cassandra and we had a great time.  Hongdae is a very popular hangout and has ons of restaurants, clubs, shopping and everything.  Here are a few shots.
Still had the nice Christmas lights up!

Some neat paintings on the walls.

I think there was a Ho bar on every corner and this was a Luxury one!

This is a Karaoke place and it kind of looked like a doll house.  We never did make it in!

Our hotel room!

Yeah for Korean BBQ!!  Love it!

Another interesting place.

Huge dog!  More like a bear.

Lauren and I were so excited because we found a frozen yogurt place and it is self serve.  So I now have a similar place to my favorite American frozen yogurt, U Swirl!!

This is Dennis who we met at the Hookah place.  An army guy.

Dennis was here for a buddies birthday and he brought us some of the cake.  It was awesome cake because it was from the base and not Korean cake!!  Delicious!!

We enjoyed it!

Another great night with the ladies!

Little More School

So we had our monthly Birthday party and 3 kids form my homeroom have their birthdays this month.  Here are just a few pictures from the day.

In the whole kinder class we had 11 birthdays this month so we had to hold two separate birthdays parties because there were too many kinds to sing to.  This also meant we had a HUGE amount of food brought in by parents!

Two of the cutest kids in school.  Esther and Christina from Harvard.

Noraebang (Karaoke Box)

So last night I went to this place called a Noraebang and it is where you and your friends can by time in a room and sing karaoke.  So six of us last night went to do this and I said there was no way I was going to sing karaoke but when in a small room with your friends who are singing you just want to join.  I also love singing but don't have many chances to sing as loud as I can with people who don't care and are doing the same.  So here are some pictures.  I had a blast and my throat hurt so bad by the end.

First I am going to show you the dinner we had, then we went to a Hookah bar and then off to karaoke.

We went to a lamb kabob place and it was delicious.

Nic and Lauren enjoying the food.

There was a cute cat at the Hookah bar.
